Harry has changed the way we think about HEV over the last 20 years. He has recently retired from clinical medicine after practicing as a Gastroenterologist in the NHS, UK for over 25 years. He is internationally renowned and respected in the field, and continues to work globally in his research pursuit of HEV. He has recently written a book “Pigs might Fly”, published over 120 peer reviewed journal articles, as well as act in an advisory role for many institutions including the World Health Organisation.

Richie G Madden

Co-FOUNDER / CEO

Richie has worked with Harry for over a decade in HEV. He has devised and lead large studies globally, publishing in high impact peer reviewed Journals. He has a great understanding and passion for HEV, people and scientific exploration. He has lead research expeditions including overlanding from Alaska to Argentina in the pursuit of HEV. He is a doctor currently based in South Australia, clinical lecturer at the University of Adelaide, Fellow of Extreme and Wilderness Medicine, Fellow International of the Explorers Club, New York and Director of Operations, Australia and New Zealand, World Extreme Medicine. Richie has acted in an advisory role for many organisations on HEV.
